I was listening to Clive Lewis tonight and he’s been talking about the de-evolution of humanity.
It’s interesting because on the one hand, people are way too dependent on technology and one day this could be a huge problem when the power goes out. Have you ever tried to get into your car when the key fob doesn’t work? How do you get into the car if you don’t have a traditional key? Or what if the power goes out and the ATM doesn’t work? What then?
Sometimes I think we’re moving backwards. We need to use technology and not be dependent upon it. I can still remember phone numbers of my friends from elementary school. Now I don’t need to know phone numbers because they’re in my phone. But what if I can’t turn on my phone? What if my phone dies suddenly? It’s all gone. I’m as guilty as the next person when it comes to reliance upon cell phones.
It really makes you think about how we rely upon technology and how we could be brought to our knees if we aren’t careful.
That said, I’m still applauding the people who tried to melt the mysterious snow. These people are willing to question the norm. Good for them.
